you can use VTLs, Cloud, SAVF to a NAS appliance, BRMS incremental backups, Robot SAVE etc. What are you looking for? Are you trying to decrease your backup Window?

Usually the fastest mechanism is an FC LTO Library. If you have a DRP you could backup on the other end, or you can perform Flashcopy to another LPAR using PowerHA.
