James,
You do not need the complete AMALIB. The migration tool only uses the
AxxPMD data areas from AMALIB. You will also need to create an MMLIST
record for the R6 environment.
Database files are not affected with regards to i6.1/i7.1 so they will
restore just fine.
Note that the R9 migration tool currently does not support data migration
to R9.1 (PTF level 02390). SH15821 will be updated as soon as the migration
tool supports migration to R9.1. In the meantime, you can install R9 and
upgrade to PTF level 02110, then run the data migration and upgrade to R9.1
after the data migration.
Thx,
Christophe Heyman

Hello,box,
We are prepping for an upgrade from R6 to R9.1, I have a production box
that is V5R1 and a test box that is V7R1.
I can load a copy of my V5R1 R6 production XA environment on my new V7R1
box, but some program objects fail to come over due to date references.
I cannot run ANZOBJ or ANZOBJCNV because they do not exist on my V5R1
and I cannot upgrade current box as it has no OS support.errors
However the data comes over fine (cursory check, RSTLIB reported no
with AMFLIB*, unlike AMALIB*).has
I'm wondering if I need to worry about this since the R9 migration tool
migrates the data, perhaps an incomplete AMALIB is ok?
I am awaiting the media from Infor, but thought I'd ask if anyone else
gone this route._______________________________________________
Appreciate any tips you may have.
Thanks!
