We IPL only when there is power maintenance in the computer room, or when
there is a change in our network (like new switches).

I think we have done 3 or 4 IPLs on our system since February last
year...

Antonio:

What's the "only when necessary" frequency?

Hi Marc

My 2 cents...

We don't do weekly IPLs... only when necessary, running on iSeries Power
M25 with V5R4.

We are currently following the regimen of weekly IPLs what have long been
recommended. As we look at extending our work options outages on Sunday
are
becoming less acceptable to the business.

I am wondering if people on this list have recommendations and approaches
to
minimize or eliminate the need for IPLs.
