Jeff,

I've had to do something similar in the past, but my solution was fairly simple
due to the limited scope for the requirement (the 2nd whse had just some of the
same items, not a complete copy). Could you provide a little more info?

1.) As Jeff (the MAPICS Roustabout) Snyder commented - an important question is
whether you are using PMC and TRDATA for posting? Or are you keying the
transactions manually? Or both?

2.) Are the two warehouses "clones" of each other? Do they all contain the
same items, or is the 2nd whse just a subset of the 1st?

3.) How "timely" do the two environments have to be with regards to the IM
synch? As close to simultaneous as possible? Hourly? Daily? Weekly?

Subject: [MAPICS-L] sharing inventory transactions between 2 systems

Hi everyone. I have a dilemma. I have 2 production mapics environments on the
same system. In one of the environments the other environment is going to be a
warehouse (I know a little confusing). Here is the example:

Environment A - will have a warehouse called warehouse B for the other
environment.

Environment B

Anything they perform in environment B I would like to send over to environment
A as an inventory transaction for warehouse B.

Has anyone done anything like this before? Is it possible? Seems like a lot of
work. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks

Jeff Williams
