Thanks
I do kind'a of the same thing, but I just have a sales guy check a print
out of the MTHACTE for errors.
Then I manually change them.

However, it sounds that there are quite a few people who are having
MTHACTE problems.

Just saying , Support, you guys are awesome.

My solution to the mysterious mthacte errors:

1. I created a file to populate the daily booking = Current days
backlog - Previous days backlog + Shipped items value. This file
basically captures all of the info from COM->Inquiry->Daily Status plus
some custom stuff for our business.

2. I created a logical file to show net changes per line item per day
from MTHACTE. If there were date changes but no quantity or price
changes within a day then the SQL view does not show them.

3. I e-mail two text based reports from these two files.

4. I compare the calculated booking (i.e. what it should be) with the
total booking from MTHACTE.

5. When there is an error I change the Net sales amount in the MTHACTE
file to what it should be. I have integrated these files to make this
very easy.

Currently we our main issue is with some orders where we have a
remaining quantity in the last release (ie 12500 FT due 12/29/11) that
gets changed to the next requested shipment (2500 FT due 12/14/10) and a
new release gets created for the balance (10000FT due 12/29/11).

I thought I was the only one that had this problem? Infor told me that
they couldn't recreate the problem when I created an incident.

I am on 7.7 and it does not occur too often anymore, but still happens
occasionally. This has always been an issue. We were using a copy of
MTHACTV that would be copied to history before month end. When we moved
to rel 7.7 I wrote a report against MTHACTE. We compare the booked
dollars and quantities on a daily basis between the 2 reports. It was
off quite a bit at the beginning. A lot of the problems were due to
older orders that were started on the older release.

I also have sales people who insist on using green screen order
maintenance for their inquiries which also causes issues.

I do know that price changes on the blanket orders are a problem with
MTHACT. Our users have been instructed to delete the item and re add it
to the order if they are going to do a price change. This may be why you
are having problems on the blanket orders.
