Thanks for the reply. Well I did as you said and I get all the columns but it is not giving me the data in ASCII it is in EPSEDIC

For example BA423000 is coming out like C2C1F4F2F3F0F0F040404040404040

Any further ideas. This is going from an acient 720 with the V6R1 client going to an Excel 2010 worksheet

We use the iSeries Data Transfer from the iSeries and then the iSeries Data Transfer to the iSeries functions on the Windows IBM System i Access tab.

On the "from", it creates a File Definition File (FDF) on your PC that is key to the upload. We also set the file format to BIFF8.

We can update the file in Excel and upload the file to the iSeries using the iSeries Data Transfer to the iSeries function. On the upload, you need to specify the FDF file that was created at the time of the download.
