Weston,
Here is how we do our nightly Mapics saves. This has worked out great for us. The saves can run unattended which means we can run them off shift.

PSICTLJVS REQUEST(*LIST) ENVLIST(MM) CTLOPT(*END) +
DBGOPT(*YES) /* End */
DLYJOB DLY(300)
AUTOBCK ENDES('MM') BCKTYP('D')
DLYJOB DLY(300)
PSICTLJVS REQUEST(*LIST) ENVLIST(MM) DBGOPT(*YES) /* +
Start up U jobs */
DLYJOB DLY(300)

The setting just ends the prestart jobs. There are 4 new commands for ending and starting the environment jobs (MPX*):

ENDENVSRV
ENDGBLSRV
STRENVSRV
STRGBLSRV

Not sure if these exist before version 7.8. But the PSI* commands may be available for version 7.

END PRESTART CLIENT JOBS . . 1 0=NO, 1=YES

If this option is set to yes, then does that end the JMMXAC and MPXMGRSRV jobs?
Or does that just end the QZRCSRVS jobs?

Joe--- Unless something has changed those options never ended the Power-Link jobs.

The option should be available in the Change Backup Options selection
in
CAS Backup:

END INACTIVE SESSIONS. . . . 1 0=NO, 1=YES

END ACTIVE SESSIONS. . . . . 1 0=NO, 1=YES

END PRESTART CLIENT JOBS . . 1 0=NO, 1=YES

END BATCH JOBS . . . . . . . 1 0=NO, 1=YES

Good morning all.

Does anyone know of a Mapics command or have a small program that will
end all Powerlink sessions

before a Mapics nightly save. I would run it as a Pre-Backup command
in
the save options.

Thanks

Weston
