Yes I have the code, have to dig it up although I think Nick is in the
right direction by simply changing the stat field.

As far as the IM transaction register there is an XA command that will do
it, I think it's PRTIMTXR. Let me circle back with the details.

Hi Nancy,

Just create a program to change the field BSTAT in file AMTLIB/INTRC from
a 'S', or 'A', to a 'C'.

We have a program that runs out of ROBOT every 1/2 hour that runs the IM
Transaction Register.

Thanx,

Nick

I would be interested in that little RPG program if you would be willing
to share it. I have an occasional problem with our users forgetting to
run the Inventory Register at the end of their day OR leaving an
Inventory Batch in Suspend status. Then the scheduled backup doesn't
run. Does your program also run the Inventory Register in addition to
closing batches?
Thank you
Nancy

Weston--- Silly question: Are you having problems getting dedicated mode
for your backups?

Are you using AP/AR/GL or IFM?

You do need to have your IM batches closed out, but you can do that with
a little RPG pgm.

Hello All.

I have a CAS question.

Currently we are R7.8 and we do our nightly save the old fashion way.

We use the Mapics nightly save optional.

My question is, what type of batches (i.e. AP , AR , GL ,, etc)

can be suspended and still get a save?

Thanks

Weston
