Steve, we are in the process of converting from 6 to 7.8. The main
gotcha has been the migration tool and how it converts from Browser to
Power Link. Each time a new version of the tool is downloaded and run,
previous problems are fixed but new ones appear.

Note that we are making full use of Browser and Integrator at R6 so I
don't know if that has anything to do with it. Green screen migrated
without issue.

Subject: [MAPICS-L] Install V7.8 questions

Approximately how long did the initial install take for V7.8, command
Call
install/initial. Does it run interactively or will it submit something
to
batch? It does not populate the new environment with data from an
existing environment correct, that is done separately I hope. I assume
it
will ask me what to name the new environment?

We are converting from version 6 to 7.8 anyone have some gotchas to be
aware of?

Thanks in advance
Steve Jones
