Why not have it say:
0010 Make components set
Manufacture 2 brackets per required quantity
0020 Assemble Components

With this method you could also have the option of having the component sets (2 brackets) in stock as a pair or set and issue them to the MO if they are already made.
----
You could also have them make half of them in one step and the other half in another step.

0010 Make Components (100 Remaining)
0011 Make more components (100 Remaining)
0020 Assemble components (100 Remaining)

All,

We have a situation where we have phantomized a component and moved the routing to the parent item.

We need 2 components per parent.

routing step 0010 is 'make component'

0020 is final assemble parent

The issue, question is when I open an MO for the parent for a qty of 100, the '0010' operation displays a qty of 100 remaining.

0010 make 100 components.

0020 final assembly 100 parents.

Has anyone run across this situation before, any idea of how to accommodate the display of a qty for 200 for operation 0010 'make component' would be appreciated.

Thanks Much,
