Actually, if you are truly interfaced with GL, then the GL Period End Close
purges the records from TEMGEN. The option to Create Ledger Entries purges
the transactions from OEITXN (of course, they all have to been assigned
first).

So I assume the actual purge is done by running "Print and Clear
Temporary General Ledger", which is option 4 on the AMBM73 menu? If
that's the case, maybe we have just neglected to run it over the years.
