Thanks to all for your responses.

The last time I had looked into MTHACTE was about 2 years ago when we were using COM for most order entry and maintenance. Applying a PCM at that time seemed to fix the issues we were seeing then. Now we are at rel7.7 and fairly up to date on our PCMs and PTFs for these programs as I am working with XA Support to resolve the problems. We are doing a lot of line item release maintenance in CSM that is causing most of the problems we are now seeing.

I have set up a file that runs nightly to store that days ending backlog $ and total shipped $, then I calculate the booked value for the day by: current day's backlog - prev day's backlog + shipped. This has given me an accurate number for bookings that I can compare against MTHACTE.

Kevin - I had thought about mining MNHDTL and have successfully done it for a smaller task, but I don't want to try it for this big of a task.

"No good way to tap into this w/o some complex rules and
programming" - Isn't this what we pay XA to do? :-)

XA Support has been very helpful in seeing the inconsistencies between CSM and COM programs and fixing them as I am finding them.

Without knowing more about your situation, (MAPICS release, PCM level, how much order maintenance you do) I would make sure you are really up to date on your PCMs. This solved some problems I've had with MTHACTE.

In a follow up to a posting a few weeks ago, I was wondering who out there is using the MTHACT files to track sales activity.

We are attempting to use MTHACTE to track are sales booking activity on the date of the transaction and keep finding errors in the data.

There seems to be a lot of bugs lately with the updating of these files through CSM maintenance activities that don't show up when you are doing the same activity through COM.

What are other people doing to make sure the data is accurate?

Thanks for you input.
