"to make sure the vendor gets paid, the PO is correct for MRP etc,"....RC to
a separate warehouse upon physical receipt into your facility,...IS to no
location ( with a reference comment if you wish) when you wish to use the
material,....RP against the production receiving warehouse using the PO the
material was original ordered under,..... which will make the material a payable,
increase your on hand qty for the M# issue and reflect in MRP for the
planners...if this plain vanilla MAPICS is followed, alllIM?GL issues are solved

Hello ML,
Can anybody help us define the IM GL interface rules for our consignment
inventory?
It's stored in our location but should not hit the books until the
inventory is transferred to the primary production warehouse
once it's consumed. I think the IM transaction will be as following:
1. RC (making it to the consignment warehouse)
2. TW (transferring over to production warehouse from consignment
warehouse)
3. SA or IP - once consumed.
The AP Clearing account should not be charged until the Qty is consumed
and PO is released and received via RC.
Is there a way to automate this process within standard MAPICS? (we are
at R5.5, but I think the process is pretty common for any release)
If anybody has the same scenario running at their site - would you
please to share it with us?
Thank you,
