Eric,
MRP looks at the Item Revision Effective Date, then uses the corresponding
Item Process to determine which BOM and Routing to use during the MRP run.
If there are overlapping Item Revisions (i.e. the date ranges of the
effective in to the effective out fields cover the same dates) then MRP
looks for the Item Process marked "Primary".
If no primary process is identified, then MRP looks at the latest
overlapping start date.
HOWEVER, be aware that releasing an order from IM (not from MRP) does the
opposite and uses the earliest overlapping start date.
Hope this helps.

Subject: [MAPICS-L] EPDM and MRP
To the list,
Does MRP look at effective dates on an EPDM PSTDTL records before it
determines if the item needs to be built or purchased?
Thanks...
Eric
