Peter is correct. EPDM/MRP does factor in the effectivity date only in the
later MAPICS fixes of Rel 6.

Based on current information that I have, that will depend on the MAPICS
level that you are:
At XAR6 environments are not fully integrated. At XAR6 only MRP and IM are
fully integrated. At XAR78 PUR and COM should be fully integrated however
there are still some issues. There are still some reports in IM that still
use the unit cost default out of IM rather than unit cost default for the
current item revision (eg AMI2B stock status report and ABC analysis
AMI2H).
Also, one major issue that I don't think has been fixed in XAR78 is where
if you're looking at an item warehouse record there has long been a desire
to be able to see the item revision data rather than item master.
