Thank you for your help. This job I am debugging is part of MRP and goes
to the job queue, so I followed these steps:
a) Compiled with CRTBNDRPG with DBGVIEW = *ALL
b) Make sure the program is highest in the MAPICS library list.
c) Place the job queue where the job will naturally go and held it. (ie.
QBATCH1)
d) Went into MAPICS and submitted the job.
e) Back to my QBATCH1, I placed on hold my job and the released the job
queue.
f) Get the job name, user id and job number and then used STRSRVJOB on it.
f) Do STRDBG in the servicing job.
g) Release the job queue.
==Immediately I had the message:
==Start Serviced Job
==Job: AMN8877165 User: PVIDAL Number: 860059
==The serviced job has been released from the job queue. Press Enter to
==start the job or F10 to enter debug commands for that job.
Probably I will try Websphere the next time around.
Thank you very much Dave!
