Thanks Jeff/Peter. I have instructed our MAPICS Admin staff to apply the
necessary PTFs. I'll let you know the outcome.

Subject: Re: [MAPICS-L] MAPICS Offline Upload

"I thought I read recently were Mapics had created a command that would
allow the ability to upload via offline files without using the offline
file import program. It was more simaliar to something they use in COM.
Does anyone know anything about this? "

Jeff, I have this saved in my inbox because I want to experiment with it
later. It talks about command OLIMTRN:

===========================

Solution Information

Title:SH82066 Process IM Offline transactions automatically
ID:16sql50611
Domain:mapicsl

Solution Statements

goal: Process IM Offline transactions automatically
goal: Process inventory transactions outside of XA
goal: API to update offline IM transactions
goal: Automated job submission for offline inventory transactions
goal: Created OLIMTRN command for offline IM transactions
goal: SH82066 - Need to create an API to run "IM Transaction Processing -
Entry from Offline Files" function outside of Infor XA (like IM OLMITM)

fact: IM
fact: CAS
fact: XAR6
fact: XAR7
fact: Offline Transaction Processing

cause: Inventory Management has been enhanced to provide Automated Job
Submission of an inventory offline transaction batch. A new Application
Programming Interface command has been added - OLIMTRN.
note: Link to documentation for using the OLIMTRN command (link).
note: After calling the OLIMTRN command, your program can call the
PRTIMTXR command to print the transaction register.

note: When this enhancement was originally delivered, the newly created IM
offline transaction batch was left in 'Suspended' status, which would
require manual intervention to set the status to 'Closed' before the batch
could be processed by the PRTIMTXR command. APAR 82124 was opened to
correct this oversight. A new parameter -- Close/Suspend batch (BCHSLT)
-- has been added to the OLIMTRN command, allowing you to set the batch
to Closed status. SH82066 has been updated to incorporate this change. If
the BCHSLT parameter does not function properly because you had downloaded
SH82066 before this function was added, please download SH82066 again and
reapply.
fix: Download and apply SH82066. This fix must be permanently applied.
This fix may require prerequisites, so please review the cover letter. The
following modules are included in this fix: Name Type ========= ====
OLIMTRN *CMD AMIMENU *FILE M6CMDPMT *MSGF AMIC30 *PGM AMIPEA *PGM
AMI3C *PGM After applying this fix, these modules will be at the following
levels: XAR6 PTF 8710 XAR7 PTF 6255
