Thanks anyway, but MTO / IFM are the critical components.

We are not using IFM, but we use Integrator, and went to R7 specifically so that we could better support our make to order processes. If your company is making products to order it is probably safe to assume that your Items can not be easily catalogued and/or preconfigured in a discreet number of ways. This was the case for us, so we've used Enterprise Integrator to add more than 100 fields to the Item object. Our sales breakout to somewhere around 60% repeat orders, so 40% of the time the sales staff are creating a new item on the fly for an order. This is only possible because of the customizations made with Integrator. Previously we had a completely seperate order entry system.

Using PowerLink with CSM allows us to seemlessly enter wire specs as we are creating Items. If all we wanted to do was extend the item, we would only need the Integrator product which is considerably less expensive than Enterprise Integrator. We use Enterprise Integrator for other things that are related, but not necessary in order to provide much better support for MTO by way of Integrator objects.

Feel free to hit me with some more specific questions if any occur to you.
