We have wrestled with the MAPICS version of vendor performance measurements
many times. (I can't count the number of times I have tried to explain the
complex calculations and weighing factors used in MAPICS). At the moment,
we are using a simplistic method to do some elementary tracking, but want
to move up a few notches.
Does anyone have an outline for a practical vendor performance system that
works around a (properly supported) MAPICS system?
I assume most people have designed their own system, but if you found some
add-on software that works well, I would really appreciate your
suggestions (and experience). I am meeting with our Purchasing Group (and
ISO Coordinator) next week to develop a "plan". Thanks in advance for any
voices of experience!
