We use to end QUSRWRK also but can't anymore due to multiple apps using
the subsystem. We disable user profiles, including MXAPLUS. Then end
any job with a file lock on SYSCTL.

"We end the subsystem (QUSRWRK) and restart it after the backup
completes.
"

Thanks Kay. I thought about that also but my issue is that I cannot end

the subsystem. We have 10 different environments using the same
subsystem. I want to be able to lock a specific environment only.

In addition, I want the environment to be operational. For example, I
want to run MRP for that environment but I do not want people using the
browser until the MRP is done. Then, I want to be able to "release" the

browser to the clients once more.
