Christopher,

We have also experienced issues with booking records inaccuracy and found it
related to maint. of a customer order after shipment and before invoicing.
(just as you have)

MAPICS does have a solution to this problem, there's a fix SH64349 that must
be applied (available June 1, 2003). NOTE: the action trigger UMBCODAR
(AT:Upd Item Net Sales) MUST be activated.

Here's a clip from the cover letter:

In Customer Order Management, after an item was partially
shipped, the net sales amount in the MBCDREP record was still
the original value until the shipment was invoiced. If the
item was maintained prior to invoicing, an erroneous MTHACTE
record was created when the net sales amount was updated in the
MBCDREP record.

Investigation revealed that the design of COM was to update only
the quantity values during shipping and the net sales during
invoicing. This was causing problems with erroneous records
being created in the MTHACTE file when the order was maintained
prior to invoicing.

To resolve this problem, a new action trigger UMBCODAR (AT:Upd
Item Net Sales) has been created. When the action trigger is
activated, the net sales amount will be recalculated in MBCDREP

for the items on the shipment being maintained.

We've activated the trigger on our system and so far new booking
discrepancies have not been found.

Hope this helps!,
