I had never tried before, but I just signed on to both Test & production
environments in R7 by just signing on to one, then the other.
If you have multiple environments in your R7 drop down box, you should
be able to sign on to each individually.

I can't answer the simulation question, but you can have multiple
instances (environments) of R6 browser open at the same time.
When you are at the browser sign on screen:
1. Hold down CTRL key and click on "Help" button.
2. Click check box for "Allow multi .exe" under "translation options".
3. Click "update".
4. Sign on as usual
5. Sign on again for 2nd environment
Environment IDs (MM, TT, ...) will display in ( ) for each open window.
