Automating COM BOL and Invoicing

Hi group

I've seen past entries where people have asked about automating the invoicing
step, and all the responses say to use ROBOT... but has anyone successfully
done this using only custom programming and/or Mapics API's? I need to automate
the printing of Bills Of Lading and generation of Invoices without using ROBOT.
I know it can be done with enough tinkering around with program calls and LDA's
but I'm hoping that someone in the group has already done it and can share the
wisdom. This is for release 6 PTF level 7412.
