We are currently using MAPICS XA version 6 on our iSeries. Our manufacturing department would like to go 'paperless' on the production floor by doing away with the pre-printed 'traveler' we use for all operations on an assembly being built. We have a custom labor collection system which feeds scanned transactions from these paper travelers to our labor and job charging systems. We would like to leave that piece intact for now---basically just looking to get rid of the custom form and use touch screen with scanners if possible. One of our other sites may be going to Syteline in the near future. My questions: Has anyone done away with the paper traveler for Operations on the production floor? Does Syteline offer a 'paperless' module like Mapics XA?? Has anyone moved from MAPICS XA to Syteline? If so, can you tell me about your experience? Thanks !
