I'm not sure what version you pulled that security setting from, but in the R6.5 you don't have to mark a quantity as shipped to get another pick list generated up the original amount on the item. Line item A - quantity of 100 Pick list 1 can have 50 pc Pick List 2 can have 50 pc However, if the user generates a pick list for 100 pc, they must enter the amount to be shipped in the bill of lading for the 50 pc to be available for another pick list. Hope this helps. Paola Groeber -------------- Original message -------------- From: "Garcia, Josue - EC Newton" <Josue.Garcia@xxxxxxx>

Marc.Rohde@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent by: mapics-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx 08/17/2006 07:58 AM Please respond to MAPICS ERP System Discussion To MAPICS ERP System Discussion cc Subject [MAPICS-L] Pick List Process Question In recent weeks we have seen a spike in some capacity constrained line and are running into a problem with Mapics inability to have multiple unshipped pick list open for an particular line item. An example of the problem we have is as follows. We have 50 of ABC in stock at 5am but require 100 so a picklist 123 generates for the 50 out that are available. At noon we receive 200 more of ABC but pick list 123 has not processed yet so no additional pick list can be generated At 3 pm we process pick list 123 and at 4pm we invoice, since we shipped at 3pm we can now generate a new pick list but it waits until the next morning at 5am when we generate our next pick list. How are other list members dealing with the fact that only one pick list can be generated at a time?
