   When the 'history' option is on, before transactions are summarized
   to MOROUT, they are dumped into MOTRAN (except T/A's).

   For XAR6 with PCC a shop activity history byte has been added to a
   new PCC control file, PCCCON.
   To turn on the history option: (Assuming you are not using EPDM)
    Go to PCC file maintenance, and take option 9 for PCC control file.
   Answer the first question for shop activity history with a yes.

   If option '9' Control File does not show up under File Maintenance at
   XAR6:
   1) Go to CAS
   2) Select 'Maintenance/Change'
   3) Select Menu Maintenance'
   4) Select option 'Work with Menus'
   5) Enter AMCM70 in 'Position to menu ID'
   6) Enter '24' next to AMCM70 for 'Menu Options'
   7) Enter F6 to add
   8) Enter "09" in No. field, AMCM7009 in "Task Id"
   9) Press Enter twice.
   10) Go to PCC file maintenance, and take option 9 for PCC control file.
   11) Answer the first question for shop activity history with a yes.

     MOTRAN?   What's that one?  I checked, and mine is empty, and it shows a
     last change date of 12/22/02 (which was when I last upgraded my
     iSeries).
     I use MDCC/PMC, would that impact it?

     Cork,

     Another alternative is to place a trigger on MOTRAN.  MOTRAN gets
     updated
     right away.  You will not have to wait for the prepare step.

     Hi group!

     I have a project request to automatically perform maintenance to an
     order
     whenever labor is charged to an order for the very first time.  It may
     not
     be the first operation, but it has to be the first time ANY operation
     has
     labor posted to it (setup or run).  I can't use Actual Start Date in
     MOMAST
     - that would also be updated when inventory is posted for the first
     time.
     This project HAS to be when labor was first charged.

     We use PLM&C (or MDCC, whichever), running through PM&C.  MAPICS/XA R6.

     Has anyone ever had to do this?   And if so, how did you detect when
     labor
     was first charged?
