Re: picklist location

If you are tailored to print the pick list by location, it will, but it
uses the default stock location for this, not necessarily the location
where the parts will be found. To use this feature, the inventory must
be located in the default stock location on record.

I believe that if you are tailored to print the pick list in location
sequence, it will be the item balance stocking location that is used. XA
doesn't use the controlled warehouse locations (SLDATA) for this. We are
putting in a quick and dirty little modification that will execute
immediately prior to the pick list writer to populate the ITEMBL
location with the SLDATA location that we want to be used for the pick
list sort sequence.

Hello Everyone,

We are at Mapics R6 and want to start of with specific stock location as
described in the manual. Managing Inventory Management Page 2-14 tells
you how to work with Aisle-Bay-Level-pallet and subdivision.

Right now we still work with a warehouse default location. The actual
sorting sequence for the picklist is defined by tailoring setting
WH/Location/Component (question 108 tailoring Inventory management). So
our printed picklist is sorted by default location. How can we change
the sort sequence on the picklist using the actual location.
Appropriate sequence would be; warehouse, actual location, item. 

Can anybody advise us what to change?
