The reason you are having trouble is that you are looking for a "Purple
Squirrel".  I've worked with MAPICS for 16 years and have a Master's
degree in Computer Science yet I don't meet all of your requirements.

And I bet you probably want to pay this Squirrel entry level pay.

In the next 5 years there will be a significant number of AS400/MAPICS
people retiring (including me) and we will all be looking for these
Squirrels.   We need to start training people now to be tomorrow's
Admins.

SKILLS NEEDED:


RECENT (now) MAPICS XA6 experience with Administration, Troubleshooting,
Flow of the process of the modules, particularly Inventory,
Manufacturing
Orders, Repetitive and the COM Module.

AP/AR/GL and FA experience

MAPICS XA6 Client/Server Graphical browser experience in setup,
configuration and troubleshooting

Iseries Administration experience

Database query experience on DB2/400

EDI configuration and setup experience

Ability to analyze process and eliminate waste within processes

A plus would be experience with Bar-coding systems or RFID systems

A plus would be Microsoft Active Directory Experience with additional
LDAP
experience on the Iseries platform

Another plus would be advanced Iseries sytems usage such as LPAR's and
Webfacing experience

Don't care about a degree..only care about these skill-sets to improve
our
utilization of the system we have...MAPICS.
