I work for a compnay that has used the 445 period format and MAPICS financial for over 20 years. So MAPICS has no problem with a 445 format. The financial applications must be tailored for it and transaction are coded to a period (ie 1 - 13). You will need to check with MAPICS on the issue of switching in the middle of a fiscal year.
