Some of my customers are using some freeware from the iSeries magazine that
I have combined to do the emailing of reports and .csv files.  These cost
nothing except for some programming time.

SNDM - SMTP emailing from the 400.  As long as you have a network connected
to the 400, you can email from it.
CRTCSVF    - takes a pf/lf file and converts to a .csv file.  You can tag
along the column headings instead of the field names.
CVTSPLSTMF    -    Nov 2000 download that can create .pdf or .html from any
spool file.

Combine them together and you have a custom utility without any annual
support fees.
