A few years ago (5 or 6), I worked on a custom front end for COM (a streamlined replacement for most screens while still calling the COM update logic) that included real time credit card processing. The credit card portion had pop up screens at end order that would request the CC info and use Christopher & Associates product would authorize the sale (iSeries based), then save the CC info and confirmation number in ship-to record user fields. Shipments processing would then charge the CC for the actual shipment costs. I think this was done via userexits. I do not have any of the original code, nor can provide much more info other than the CC system did work and response time was acceptable. We ship to well known discount department and home improvement stores. We have the need to take credit card purchases also, via the phone and the internet. Just would like to know if anyone has been successful in using COM (modified, user exit, third party) for credit card approved while on the phone with a customer and able to charge the approved card at COM shipment time only. Also interested in anyone's experience with COM.Net2 from Lexel and your success in implementing along with COM and credit card approval with COM.Net2 shopping cart. Thank you in advance.
