Ray,
Thank you. In my experience most shops have networking personnel who are not
familiar with this functionality on the AS400. Thus, they tend to roll out such
functions out of NT Servers. I often encourage my crew to explore more of the
AS400 server functionality. Thank you for the explanation.

Phil, Pete...

We would like to take advantage of Secure Sockets Layer(SSL)for our
iSeries users and customers/vendors outside of our company and firewall.
Digital Certificate Manager(DCM) has been available for awhile on the
iSeries see
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/iseries/v5r2/ic2924/index.htm?info/rzain/r
zainoverview.htm for more detail. DCM we believe will provide a
solution for us a no additional cost and we take advantage of our
investment in the iSeries 9406-810 v5r2 and provide the most for our XA
users while giving us the security we need at the lowest cost. My guess
was not many iSeries users have taken advantage of this out of the box
solution, but maybe there are some who have let me know.

Thank you.
