Josh You are trying to call a MAPICS program from Java? You need to watch out for some of the initialization that may be necessary to call a MAPICS program directly. (ie. STRMAPICS necessary?, library list, LDA, any program the program you're calling calls, etc.) Is it possible for you to directly write the data to a MAPICS table using your Java program? For some info and examples about how to call RPG from Java go to: http://www.as400pro.com/servlet/sql.viewCats?Type=T (Look at the RPG and Java tips) Also check out the archives for RPG and Java at: http://archive.midrange.com/index.shtml Calling a Program Using the iSeries Toolbox for Java http://www.itjungle.com/mpo/mpo011702-story04.html IBM's Toolbox for Java Is Getting Better Every Day http://www.itjungle.com/mpo/mpo071703-story03.html How to call an RPG program from Java http://expertanswercenter.techtarget.com/eac/knowledgebaseAnswer/0,295199,sid63_gci985580,00.html Calling RPG Native Methods from Java http://www.itjungle.com/mpo/mpo022802-story06.html Hope this helps Ron Hankey - CPIM Business Intelligence Team Josh wrote: <SNIP> >Since I am not an RPG programmer I was hoping to write a Java program. <SNIP> >Any thoughts?
