We are using AM financials. We currently would need CA, PA & TX.

Carol

Which set of financials are you using (AM or IFM)? What tax entities
are you wanting to capture?

Has anyone automated the additon of Use tax to a Purchase Order. I was
thinking we could set up a table of tax % by warehouse and use the
Purchase tax indicator on the Item Revision file.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

I can't say I know our complete ROHS process but part of it involved
creating a program to write the complete bill of material for an item to
an Excel spreadsheet.
The ROHS specific information for each component is stored in the user
fields in the MAPICS VENITF file.

For each component in the bill of material the ROHS specific information
includes:
Status
Compliance Date
Reportable
File Number
Comment

We added a card to the VENITF maintenance in Browser that let's the
users maintain these user fields.

   Peter:

We had a whole system designed to maintain the chemical composition
of
components (by Vendor). We had to develop BoM explosion programs that
look
at the chemical compositions and determine the RoHS status of the
Finished
Product. Also, this has now been very useful to determine the "e"
status
   as required by JEDEC specifications.

Customers require detail information such as weight and PPM for each
of
the chemical constituents therefore, maintaining it in User Fields of
VENITF does not seem a feasible option for us.

We need to know the Highest Credit ever open for all customers.
Currently running IFM Rel 6 no COM yet Custom Order Entry in-house code.
Is there a field somewhere in IFM files that reflect the Highest Credit
any customer has ever had open at any given time. If someone could
identify the field and file in IFM for the Highest Credit Open it would
be appreciated.

Thank you,
