Is anyone doing anything with MAPICS/XA to support = the following
European Union Directives to track hazardous substances = used in the
manufacturing process? These are being implemented in = Europe in 2006 and
California in 2007, with other states later.
The requirement is to record all lower level = materials and components
and be able to track compliance status at the = lower level item and at
the parent item level if a non-compliant = component is in the B/M. We are
considering using the Vendor/Item File = to keep track of the lower level
items compliance and write a program = to roll-up the compliance status to
   the parents.

RoHS - Reduction of Hazardous Substances
WEEE - Waste of Electrical and Electronic = Equipment

Please let me know if anyone has any solutions on how = to handle this
   within MAPICS.

Thanks, Peter Lizio, Electroswitch, IS Manager, = Email:
