Jimmy, It is funny that you just sent this. I just got out of a meeting with my customer's Fedex Rep and they were discussing that exact thing. We use Manhattan Associates LogPro software interface for shipping and will be looking at entering that information for residential shipments. We are have an Address Correction interface to WorksRight Software's Per/ZIP and Per/DPV (waiting for approval for Per/DPI which will tell us if the address is residential). What I will probably end up doing is display a "pop-window" at end of order that will ask for Additional Shipping information like Date/Time, Signature Required, etc. and store the data in the MBC6REP user fields (where I can). Since I already have a user exit that copies all the MBC6 and MBCD user fields to MBDH and MBDD, those fields will carry over to the history. If that doesn't work for me, I will probably put them into "pre-defined" comments and train :( the users to enter it correctly. Then write special code to extract the data from the comments. Currently we use the order comments field, but since they are free form text and with the ability for an order to have multiple comment lines it makes it difficult to accurately parse these fields for reporting/calculation. -Jimmy _______________________________________________ This is the MAPICS ERP System Discussion (MAPICS-L) mailing list To post a message email: MAPICS-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/mapics-l or email: MAPICS-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/mapics-l.
