AMEC Background: Founded in the early 1940's, our primary products were standard bearing accessories consisting of locknuts, lockwashers and taper sleeve adapters. In 1966 we began manufacturing Universal Style spade drills and holders. Today, AMEC is the world leader in the manufacturing of spade drill inserts and holders. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Work with AMEC associates to determine application requirements. * Identify and document proposed application functionality and specifications for review. * Design and code new applications. * Document final product in detail. * Develop and deliver user training for new AMEC applications. * Maintain current AMEC applications by providing usage and defect support. * Modify existing AMEC applications as necessary. * Provide guidance toward the expansion and proper usage of Mapics and related applications. * Perform monthly and year-end closeouts. * Provide user support for Mapics and related problems. * Construct Project Plans * Identify critical success factors and constraints that might prevent a successful implementation. * Prepare proposals for Managers and the Executive Board, identifying projects to improve current processes. * Carry out approved project plans. * Other tasks as deemed appropriate by Manager. * * QUALIFICATIONS: * Education: * Two year degree in Computer Science, preferred. * Experience: Three years in a similar role, preferred. Skills: * Familiarity with Windows and AS/400 environments, required. * Familiarity with Mapics application suite, required. * Working knowledge of one or more of the following programming languages; required RPG, C++, Visual Basic, Java, HTML, Cold Fusion, SQL, or MS Access
