Unless I am mistaken, the sample trigger program and user exits both are 
capable of writing maintenance history.  The comments in the programs should 
give you samples of what you need to do.  If not, contact me off-line and I 
will try to help you.

   Mike,

   Experiences like yours using the sample user exits at R6 and=arlier is
   the the main reason we now create the user exit programs in R7    Integrator 
for you.  In R6 you had to modify the user exits to tell th=m
   about your files and fields.  R7 Integrator knows how to put alot o=
    info in the user exits for you.  Also, you are correct, the tr=nsaction
   model used by the client applications is different than most prog=ammers
   are accustom to working with.
