Yes, I feel the same; sometimes is like there is an urgent need of "common sense" in a lot of cases.... but back to your issue, what I so in those cases is that I prepare a query, imitating the content of the Inventory Status Reports (AMI2B), each with the specific Item Class range I want and then set them up in the AS400 Job Scheduler.
