Does anyone know how many installs of MAPICS R7 are out there to date?

Is anyone using COM for sales billing and lease billing?

There are electronic forms solutions which will automatically "wrap" the
text to flow to as many lines as is necessary. These software solutions
should also be able to differentiate between (using a data element within
the spool file or a feature of the spool file to choose between U.S. check
stock (81/2 x 11) and European (A4) stock.

 Greg,

It is a requirement that we print the words on 2 lines. There are other
requirements as well, such as - instead of . on the number. The check
itself appears to be a bit narrower then our US check.

Thanks

We just went through the same issue in Mexico. The way we solved (I
think it's pretty typical in IFM) is that we used a different document
type when we do the check run. Associated with the document type
definition record is a print program. we wrote that to actually generate
our checks in Mexico. Obviously similar problems (words are in Spanish
instead of English).
If you find you need help with the process, you could call me. I can't
help much personally, but one of my team members can help.

Hello. We have a requirement to print checks for both the US and the UK.

Currently, we only print for the US.

The UK format appears to be a lot different both in the layout and the way

words are spelled for the amount on the check (e.g. One hundred and
seventy five pounds and forty five pence only . Also, the words for the
amount are written on 2 lines. Another change is the date needs to be dd
month yy (21 March 05)

I haven't been able to find anything on the archives and mapics says we
will need to modify UAH3PFR ourselves because of all the UK variations(?).
Thank you in advance for any advice of assistance you can give on this.

UK - check format,

You might want to consider using a forms overlay program to create the

Hi,

Momentum Utilities offers a forms package, called JacanaForms, that can
manage the two different styles of check (or cheque) printing. A decision
can be made on the address of the check for which format to apply. Will
you
be producing the checks in the British Pound currency? If so, IFM should
handle the written amount text properly. Date (re)formatting can be
handled
along with the variations in the layouts as needed.

Momentum is the developer of JacanaForms and has resources in the UK that
can assist with the details of developing the UK format.

For more information, please contact me off list.
