We used to IPL through the GO POwer on and off schedule.  It worked for a
while until it  damaged the power supply.  Since then,  we have a CL
program that runs on a schedule once a week that will IPL  with *restart
rather than shutting off the system completely.

EXCELLENT suggestion Greg!  Unless they need to do other tasks at the time,
why in the world would you have a CL program to do what the system has as a
natural function.
