Shawn,

It cannot hurt to do the IPL. The MAPICS Reorg is scheduled from the
Cross
App menu options. Cleaning house with a reorg, reclaim spool storage,
reclaim storage( which once took us 12 hours), IPL, deleting old journal
receivers (to get disk space... see Pete's thread about this) are all
good
entries on a housekeeping check list.

Can you open a ticket with IBM? They should be able to pinpoint your
performance problems while on the phone. (I am assuming you have a
support
contract). For a new to As400 person, they are really good about
talking
you just what to look for. 800 IBM SERV is the phone number for both
hardware and software support now. If you are real new, and no one has
been
applying ALERTS PTFs, you may need an IBM PTF. I would call them first.

Ann
Performance Issue
