Ann Here is what we say in our R7 enhancements document (minus the color picture) ... Power Expand An overview is a very handy way to display complex data, such as a PO, a CO or a bill of material. Sometimes you want to display an entire branch of the overview, so you open each node all the way down. This can require a lot of mouse clicks on little plus signs. In R7 you can right-click to use the Power Expand feature. One more click and you open them all. Alternatively, you can use the second click to open a preset number of levels. If you want to open the entire structure just move to the top of the overview and Power Expand the whole thing. In R6 an overview was pre-set to open the top level and one level down. In R7 you can customize the initial expand for an overview, so it will open as many levels as you want when you first display it. So yes this feature and many more are in R7. Have you by chance tested this feature? Our users need this function for reporting, decision-making, and calculating throughput dollars. Additionally, we are trying to retire the old, expensive, not real-time application being used for reporting if we can export our (large) BOMs to Access or Excel from the MAPICS Browser. I am not really questioning the hotline, just trying to make sure what we asked is what they understood we were asking...
