Eric, This may be a dumb question, but why don't you just rely entirely on the job scheduler instead of messing with the post-backup command? That's what I did to eliminate the problem of abending backups messing up post-backup commands...... I schedule it out (time-wise) so that the jobs don't butt-heads. Then in the post backup command, the first thing I do is delete the scheduled job entry since it does not need to execute seperately.
