Eric,

This may be a dumb question, but why don't you just rely entirely on the
job scheduler instead of messing with the post-backup command?  That's what
I did to eliminate the problem of abending backups messing up post-backup
commands......

Bryan,
In the "pre-backup" command, I create a scheduled job with a specific name
that runs the same program as the post-backup command.  I schedule it out
(time-wise) so that the jobs don't butt-heads.  Then in the post backup
command, the first thing I do is delete the scheduled job entry since it
does not need to execute seperately.

Works like a charm...
