Mike, If you are not using MRP, Standard MAPICS does not support the function (reorder exact quantity of negative inventory balance) that you are looking for. If you are not using auto release in IM reorder report function, then you can define a simple query using ITMPLN and ITEMBL with a condition of all items having ORDP = 'B' or 'C' and MOHTQ - MALQT less than zero. The output of this query will be the items that need to be reordered. MOHTQ - MALQT is the quantity need to be reordered. ORDP - Order Policy Code in ITMPLN MOHTQ - Quantity on hand in ITEMBL MALQT - Manufacturing allocation quantity in ITEMBL Hope this helps you. Regards, Selva "Michael J. MRP is not used. The goal is to re-order an item only when there is an allocation driving the on-hand balance negative. The closest I have been able to come with MAPICS settings, is to set the OPC code to C and the Fixed Order Quantity to .001. When the on-hand balance goes negative, the reorder reports calculates a re-order quantity of the value of the negative on-hand balance +.001. The questions: Is there something I am missing? Is there a way to configure items using OPC B or C to reorder the exact quantity of the negative balance? Is there a third party product which will do discrete re-ordering? Does someone have code modifications for MAPICS ROP logic. In advance, thanks Mike Dreimiller Mandis-Inc@xxxxxxx _______________________________________________ This is the MAPICS ERP System Discussion (MAPICS-L) mailing list To post a message email: MAPICS-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/mapics-l or email: MAPICS-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/mapics-l.
