RE: MAPICS to Take the WebSphere Plunge

Don't feel alone; when it comes to Websphere EVERYONE is confused! 

What was once a "product" called Websphere is now a "brand" consisting
of a multitude of various products. Leave it to the marketing
geniuses...  

IMO such news releases are nothing more than a PR ploy. It doesn't talk
to the issue of WHY I should invest in the technology or HOW my business
will benefit from it. 

It does however, include about every over-used buzzword that we are all
tired of reading and hearing about.  A great example of the fine work
from the pointy-headed marketing wizards at their best...

Whew!  I feel better now...

I thought R7 already had Websphere!  Reading this makes it seem like 
MAPICS has no existing links to the Web.

I think the impetus for this new item was MAPICS's CRM being wrapped 
around Webshere, the CRM came from Syteline.  It really
obfuscates what MAPICS has already done with Webshere.

Or am I confused!?!?!?
