John, We do a LOT with at the item level with orders, but the ones that come through off-line load are handled in batch mode, not line by line as entered. I have found it simpler to handle everything all at one time through the user exit - work with the entire order at once. This is, of course, a design preference that I have. But I prefer to have everything handled in one program so I only ever have one place to look for problems or changes. I use this exit for interactive orders, but it didn't fire when I tested an offline order. Everything is in the system at that point, but you can maintain it before anyone can get their grubby little fingers on the order. Do the same ones execute as when a COM order is entered interactively? We are using Rel. 6 COM.
