I think you can do this with either triggers or journaling.  This also
keeps you from yet another mod to core mapics...:)  And, there's ample
documentation out there to show how to do these things...

There's been several COMMON and user group presentations on this topic in
the past...perhaps you have a copy of an old COMMON CD (back when they did
them) or have a copy of one hanging around....
