Thanks to all for the responses. You have been very helpful. Through your input we have been able to verify our data and move forward. Now I have two more questions: What is a good source to read to understand more completely the issue of AS/400 files, members, records, etc? For those who use IWP or Jacana, is there a way to link the SHPACT file in a subset such that the order number in all of the batch records can be pulled to a report. If not, then the batches were opened, but nothing entered. If there is a record count, takt one of the batch numbers and append it to the member name that begins with "BCH" when you do a RUNQRY on the SHPACT file. For example, if the batch number is 597, run the following command: RUNQRY QRYFILE((AMTLIBx/SHPACT BCH597)) This will display the records in batch 597. We currently have five suspended batches of labor transactions in PCC but the SHPACT file has no records. Does this make sense? We are transitioning to entering labor hours in PCC and would like to know where the keyed data is stored before Shop Activity Update is performed. Does anyone know the name of the file that holds these records?
