Hi Ron, We also have a fax server solution you could use to solve this problem and we're a MAPICS certified partner. We've dealt with several MAPICS customers who had the same requirements you're talking about. What you're looking to do is called least-cost routing (LCR). The idea is to have the software installed at the location of the 400, and have hardware (to dial the call) located at one or more of the overseas locations. A routing table in the software allows you to determine the least expensive node on the network from which to send the fax. This allows you to run a batch of invoices, for example, and have the fax route through the network to send from the closest (or least expensive) node. Dale is right as well! If you can potentially email the document then that works as well, assuming you can get past any existing spam filters. You already pay for your mail server. An additional feature you should consider is the ability to "flag" which business contact wants email/fax/print within the MAPICS customer/vendor master. For example, XYZ company wants their invoices emailed but their acknowledgement faxed and printed. You want to set this up in the Master and then the next time the batch is run, the documents get automatically generated and delivered however you indicated. If it is overseas, the document will send from the hardware located there to save phone charges. Our MAPICS integration module can do this for you. You mentioned the document is PCL. Make sure your fax system works with this forms solution! If you have any other questions, swing by http://www.quadrantsoftware.com <http://www.quadrantsoftware.com/> . We have some MAPICS case studies online and plenty of MAPICS references. All the best, Mike Laiter Quadrant Software http://www.quadrantsoftware.com/ <http://www.quadrantsoftware.com/>
